Patrik Stefan

Patrik played close to 500 NHL games after being selected 1st overall in the 1999 NHL Draft. After his playing career ended, he gave back to the game through coaching youth hockey teams for the past 10 years, capping it off in 2019 with a USA National Championship at the U15 level.
Patrik founded PSHI Development in 2018 out of a desire to use his playing and coaching experience, combined with the unique way he sees the game to continue helping hockey players develop.
“Each player develops at his own pace and will have his own path. I believe you should not look too far ahead, instead focus on being the player who is hard to play against today.”
jaroslav modry
Development Coach
Jaroslav Modry has made an impact in hockey development in his post-playing career. After a lengthy 15-year NHL career logging over 750 games at hockey’s highest level, Jaro has taken his extensive experience to develop hockey players from behind the bench.
Modry’s post-playing career has included coaching at nearly all levels where hockey players develop, including stints with the AHL Ontario Reign, NCAA D1’s RPI, Albany Titans Youth Hockey and the highly successful L.A. Jr. Kings hockey program. A highly effective and respected coach, Jaro joined PSHI Development in early 2021.
Kevin Zajac
Video Editor
Kevin Zajac is one of our two video editors. Kevin brings his experience with over 7 years of video editing and graphic design work, supplemented by a Graphic Design Minor at DePaul University. He pursued hockey development upon completion of his playing career and studies.
He played 3 years of ACHA DII hockey at DePaul University and was selected for the 2017 ACHA All Star Challenge. Following his playing career, he was a Head Coach for 3 years with the Highland Park Falcons Hockey Association, prior to joining the PSHI team.
Karen O’brien
Vice President, Business Operations
Karen has over 30 years professional experience in client service, business operations and administration, banking, finance, contract negotiation and legal documentation.
•Karen was an integral part of establishing and growing the Floyd’s 99 Barbershop concept to over 100 corporate and franchised locations nationwide.
•Led the franchise program development for Floyd’s 99 Barbershops.
•Worked for the MLB Colorado Rockies in season ticket sales, executive suite sales and client services for 9 years.
•Spent 7 years in the banking industry ending her career there with three years as a Branch Manager.
